Lance Armstrong?s awkward encounter with Tyler Hamilton

Lance Armstrong and Tyler Hamilton had an awkward, unexpected run-in at an Aspen restaurant this weekend, according to The Outside Blog. It was the first time the former friends and teammates had seen each other since Hamilton went on "60 Minutes" and accused Armstrong of doping during his celebrated cycling career.

Outside Online details the encounter:

[Saturday] night, Hamilton went to dinner with friends at Cache Cache [pronounced cash cash], an ItalianFrench restaurant that also happens to be one of Armstrong's favorite Aspen hangouts. (Armstrong has a home here, but Hamilton thought the seven-time Tour de France winner was out of town.) During dinner, Hamilton left his table to go to the bathroom. As he walked out of the bathroom, an arm blocked his path. It was Armstrong. The two hadn't spoken since Hamilton's 60 Minutes appearance.

"He wanted to get into it," Hamilton told me this morning. "I was like, 'Let's step outside and talk away from the crowd, but he wouldn't. He said, 'No one cares.'" Then, according to Hamilton, Armstrong began to berate him.

(Armstrong's version of the encounter is a bit more tame: "I said, 'Hey, what's up?'" he says. "It was certainly awkward for both of us. It was truly uneventful.")

The blog reports that the owner of the restaurant, a good friend of Armstrong's, told Hamilton he could finish his meal but wasn't welcome backat the restaurant. The cyclist said he was "rattled" by the incident.

So, to sum up, Hamilton narcs on Armstrong on national television, hasn't spoken to him since then, goes to a city in which he lives, eats at one of his main hangouts and then is surprised when he runs into him and there's a minor confrontation? Bro, I amicably broke up with a girl 10 years ago and still dodge the coffee shop she used to frequent. And she moved out of the state in 2006! If you don't want to run into Lance, avoid the places you know he'll be. If you don't heed that advice, understand that it's going to lead to some conflict.
