Last week over 160 invited guests gathered at the Handball Arena to celebrate the handing over of this key venue from the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) to the London 2012 Organising Committee (LOCOG). But why is it a key venue?
Apart from being a stunning, vibrant and exciting venue that will host two Olympic sports (Handball and Modern Pentathlon) and one Paralympic sport (Goalball) during London 2012, the design allows for maximum flexibility of use in legacy, both for sport and community event use.
